This summer may see a wave of crypto ETFs: what XRP, DOGE, SOL, and LTC investors should expect

Following the launch of the first spot Bitcoin ETFs in the U.S. and growing interest in similar products based on Ethereum, market participants have begun actively discussing the prospects of other cryptocurrencies. Investors and analysts are wondering: which altcoins will be the next candidates for approval and could officially reach Wall Street in the form of exchange-traded funds? The environment is fueling optimistic expectations: a potential return of the Trump administration is seen as more favorable to cryptocurrencies, and regulators are showing less aggression. All of this creates fertile ground for the emergence of new investment products based on digital assets. At the Token2049 conference in Dubai, one of the most respected ETF experts, Eric Balchunas of Bloomberg, shared a forecast that several crypto ETFs could be approved as early as this summer. According to him, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is currently reviewing over 70 applications, many of which involve assets such as XRP, Dogecoin, Solana, and Litecoin. In a joint publication by Balchunas and fellow analyst James Seyffart, the upcoming months are described as potentially marking the start of a major rollout of new crypto funds. They dubbed it the “summer of crypto ETFs,” referring to the possible approval of a broad range of products tied to leading altcoins. The analytical platform Polymarket, known for its accurate forecasts, also shows high levels of anticipation. The probability of an XRP ETF launching by year-end stands at 79%, although chances drop to 42% by July 31. Dogecoin’s outlook is more modest: around a 68% chance by year-end and under 25% by the end of July. A similar picture is seen for Solana and Litecoin — about 78% probability of ETF approval by December and roughly 24–30% by July.
